Australia is undoubtedly known for its beaches, and for good reason. I have yet to discover the West Coast, but am beyond satisfied with the East for the time being.
Road tripping from Brisbane to Melbourne was the perfect dose of Australia before a 6 month break abroad, and of course, the trip had to kickstart in Byron.
First Stop: Byron Bay, New South Whales
This day was spent listening to triple J’s hottest 100 on the beach with swim breaks in between. Our ultimate worry being whether we had enough sunscreen on.
Second Stop: Newcastle
Newcastle felt more like a British coastal town than it did Australian. However, the warm weather dismissed this notion pretty quickly.
Third Stop: Sydney
Oh to be surrounded by the ocean. Definitely one of Sydney’s strongest selling points.
Third Stop: Wagga Wagga
This town was quite charming despite its stark contrast against the coastal blues.
Are we there yet?
Destination: Melbourne
Not much to say, just a good time.
Just don’t go to the Yarra Valley on a 40 degree day 🙂
Beautiful Aus, see you soon.
