Love always

It’s funny how a series of unfortunate events often need to be rationalised. ‘This year has been tough’ –  a frequently referenced phrase after every break of bad news as though somehow the excuse of ‘2019’ softens the blow. At times, I wonder if I am just growing up and recognising the harsh realities of life, or the ‘yins’ in the world I have so fondly (yet mistakenly) gotten to know through its ‘yangs’. I will never truly acknowledge the truth behind the ‘that’s life’ reasoning. There are a lot of things I don’t agree with in this world, especially those that can be avoided with relative ease. In saying that, health is something I have always taken for granted. Whilst I have been exposed to some of the downfalls of health (in the many different ways in which it is implicated), it has never truly burdened myself or loved ones.

I wrote the above paragraph at the beginning of June to clear my mind. Was it intuition or just plain oblivion? I’m happy to take the latter.

I despise the word grief and its negative connotation. But I have learnt that it is relative, and can be taken on in many different ways. Life is fickle, and should not be taken for granted. It should be celebrated. In fact, it is at such times of significance where one should forget the little worries and problems of the everyday. They are, after all, irrelevant details in the bigger picture of life, of which one should enjoy and appreciate every living second.

So here is the relevant. Here are some relevant details of our time in Switzerland… where fulfilment coincided with emptiness.
